Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson has been hospitalised once more, just days following his recent health scare. The 65-year-old actor underwent examinations and an MRI this week after experiencing two falls.

He previously told fans that more tests were on the way and was later discharged. Yet, last night on X, Charlie revealed that he was now back in medical care again.

According to the Mirror, he said: “Well hello folks, from a rather, erm, well I’m not sure what it’s doing outside. It was rather nice when I came in, but here I am again in special day care in Macclesfield hospital, waiting to see an osteopath and hopefully getting a transfer to Salford Royal to the spinal unit.

“That’s the plan, but I was talking to you the last time from the same cubicle and I ended up back at home at half ten at night so we shall wait and see.” The soap star then relayed to supporters that he is ‘fine’ but ‘simply can’t walk properly’ amidst ‘great pain’.

He continued: “I can’t stand on my tip toes now so, yeah, this is very comfortable but if I stand up I just fall over so there’s something seriously gone wrong, so i’ll keep you posted. Cheerio now!”

His social media post was succinctly titled with the French phrase: ‘Encore une fois!!!’, translating to ‘once again’. Charlie’s fans quickly rushed to the comment section, expressing their concern and support for the star.

One said: “Charlie, you look in great condition and as you still have your jacket on , seems you don’t think it’s a long stay, keep kicking when they put you right!”, while someone else added: “Wishing you a full recovery.”

Another wrote: “Get well soon again – promise it!” Later, Charlie confirmed that he would be transferred to Salford Royal Hospital today (May 9) for further treatment.

Charlie’s second hospital admission came just days after he updated his followers on a concerning health development. At the time, he said: “Hi folks, went to physio this morning and she sent me straight to A&E, which I did. They examined me. I have an MRI scan and I’m sitting, waiting for the results.

“They’ve whisked me back in for more examinations, so it’s not going awfully well at the moment. Anyway, I’ll keep you updated.

“They put a wristband on me and all sorts of craic. I’ve fallen over twice, so something going wrong down there.”
