Oliver Gildart has been named in the Hull KR squad for the Challenge Cup semi-final against Catalans Dragons. The centre is a doubt following a knee injury suffered during the Magic Weekend victory over Salford Red Devils.

But he has been named in the squad alongside Tom Davies, Joe Burgess, and Kelepi Tanginoa, who all return to the fold after being left out last week due to injury. Davies is set to return after a shoulder injury, Burgess has recovered after failing a HIA and so has Tanginoa.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is also included; he featured in the 21-man squad last week but was rested. In total, that means there are three changes to the squad from last week.

The players to drop out are Arthur Mourgue and Noah Booth, who are both cup tied after playing for previous clubs in earlier rounds of the competition. Ajahni Wallace is the other player who drops out after he was named 18th man at St James’ Park last week.

The return of Davies and Burgess would suggest Jack Broadbent will return to fullback, with Mourgue unavailable for selection. But that would leave a problem at centre if Gildart is unavailable for selection.

Hull KR’s semi-final squad for Challenge Cup clash with Catalans Dragons : Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Warea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Jack Broadbent, Danny Richardson, Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Lee Kershaw, Eribe Doro, Bill Leyland.
