Hello everyone and welcome to our live coverage from St James’ Park as Hull KR take on Salford Red Devils. The Robins will look to extend their lead at the top of the Super League, at least temporarily, to four points.

They take on a Salford side ravaged by departures as a result of their financial predicament. Chris Atkin was the latest to depart this week as he headed to Castleford Tigers. Willie Peters’ side head into the game as strong favourites against a side they put to the sword earlier in the season, winning 42-0 at Sewell Group Craven Park earlier in the year.

As ever, we will be on hand to provide you insights before, during and after the match.

FULL TIMEKEY EVENT

FT: Rovers 54-0 Red Devils

Full-time. Rovers hardly had to get out of second gear for a 54-0 triumph – a nine -try performance at St James’ Park. A day to remember for Noah Booth, with a try-scoring debut. Willie Peters will want his side to be a lot cleaner next week for the Challenge Cup semi-final showdown. Arthur Mourgue perfect from the boot.

Josh McAllister

Hiku and Booth combine

Great work from Booth and Hiku in the build-up to set up Mourgue. His conversion should be the game with seconds left on the clock.

Rovers 52-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

And another!

Another try! Mourgue gets his second. A good afternoon for the France international. Solid at the back all afternoon, perfect from the boot and two tries. Rovers 52-0 ahead, and it’ll be 54 in a minute.

Rovers 46-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

TRY!

Tyrone May with the break, and he finds Arthur Mourgue in support. Salford falling off tackles and Rovers making them pay. 46-0 and the full-back should convert his own score here.

Rovers 42-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

Last 10…

Last 10 minutes to go. Mourgue kicked the last to make it 42-0, seven from seven from the boot.

Rovers 40-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

TRY!

A second for Jez Litten. Nice work from Bill Leyland to set up his fellow hooker. Sam Luckley with a great offload with three players on him to start the break.

Josh McAllister

Another.

Another mistake at the back in attacking shape. It’s not pretty.

Josh McAllister

Mistakes…

A couple of mistakes from Rovers now with 16 left on the clock. Willie Peters will want that cleaning up.

Josh McAllister

Still 36-0

Still 36-0 here. Salford currently with the ball after a mistake from Rovers. Verdict, player ratings and post-match to follow, so make sure to keep an eye on here.

Rovers 36-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

A moment to remember

A wonderful flick pass from Peta Hiku sets up his winger Booth for a four-pointer on his Super League debut. A moment he’ll remember forever. Mourgue converts for 36-0.

Josh McAllister

BOOTH ON DEBUT!

Noah Booth with a flying finish in the corner on his debut!

Rovers 30-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

Tryyyy

Try confirmed! Batchelor gets his score, after being disallowed in the opening minutes. Arthur Mourgue makes it five from five and it’s 30-0.

Josh McAllister

Video referee time…

We’ve gone upstairs for Batchelor…it’s sent up as a try. Mikey Lewis with a break. He opts not to pass on the inside to a free Minchella, tries to go himself after bumping off the full-back before finding an offload for Batchelor after a tackle from behind. Review incoming.

Josh McAllister

Salford come oh so close

Salford are over the line but the ball is lost! A let off for Rovers there.

Josh McAllister

Time back on

Nathan Connell, it looks like. He’s off the field for now but we’re back underway.

Josh McAllister

Time off…

A stop in play almost straight away with a Salford player down.

Josh McAllister

Back underway

We’re back underway at St James’ Park.

Josh McAllister

Teams back out…

Rovers first out, shortly followed by Red Devils for the second half. Hull KR didn’t really have to get out of second gear then. Professional 40 here, then turn attention to the Challenge Cup…

Half-time at Magic WeekendJosh McAllister

HT: Rovers 24-0 Red Devils

Rovers with a 24-0 lead at the break. Mikey Lewis with two assists, with tries from Hadley, Luckley, Hiku and Litten. Salford with a couple of chances close to the line, but Rovers holding them out. Potentially a penalty or two more than Willie Peters would have liked in that half.

Josh McAllister

CLOSE!

Dean Hadley breaks the line but a great, desperate tackle at the back brings him down and he then spills the ball. 10 seconds to go…

Josh McAllister

Salford boost

Jayden Nikorima is back out there, which is good to see. Rovers just push him into touch as typing this.

Josh McAllister

Eribe Doro on

Eribe Doro is on for his Hull KR Super League debut from the bench.

Rovers 24-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

ANOTHER ONE!

Jez Litten joins the scoring! Fantastic work from Mikey Lewis with a huge step to break the Salford line, and he finds his hooker in support to score. Mourgue continues his success and it’s 24-0 with five on the clock.

Rovers 18-0 Red DevilsJosh McAllister

TRYYYY!

Peta Hiku extends the lead for Rovers with a run from nine, dummy and crash over. Mourgue again good from the boot and it’s Rovers 18-0 Red Devils.

Josh McAllister

Rovers force mistake

…but Rovers force a knock on from the Red Devils. Meanwhile, the temperature has certainly dropped inside the ground!

Josh McAllister

Penalties…

Rovers giving away too many penalties in this half for the Red Devils.
